First looking to Queens, you can't rule out Anthony Weiner in spite of the Schumer carbon copy concerns. Greg Meeks is a strong choice. While Latina Nydia Velazquez may fit the desired profile, there have to be concerns about her really being able to delver for the troubled Empire State. Queens native Andrew Cuomo is a powerhouse as is neighboring Nassau County's Exec Tom Suozzi. And then there are the moments that David Paterson will explore the mechinism of getting himself appointed to the U.S. Senate which seems a lot freer of headaches than the job of the Governor of a State with deficits in the billions, a dysfunctional legislature and Shelly Silver and a Democratic Senate that can;t shoot straight. Senator Paterson? It could be the best Executive decision he'll ever make.
